Pre-Placement Trainings: If you have made the decision to proceed with becoming a licensed Manitowoc County Foster Parent, these sessions are mandated for each parent to complete prior to having your first foster care placement. There is no charge for these sessions and complimentary child care is available with prior registration. Respite and Kinship Families are not mandated to attend these sessions, but are welcome to do so as they can help you as you prepare to care for the children coming into your home. Sessions consist of four 3-hour classes for a total of 12 hours. Option #1: February 7, 9, 14, and 16 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. held at Manitowoc County Human Services Dept, 926 S. 8th St. Manitowoc, WI. All sessions must be attended to complete foster parent training. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early as we will begin our training promptly at 6:00 p.m..
